Kennedy received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in child development from Pitzer College. She then continued her education at Kansas State University where she received her Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree in School Counseling and Counseling Affairs. During her time at KSU, Kennedy worked in the education system providing individual, group, and classroom counseling services to students in need as well as crisis counseling for a LGBTQIA+ youth hotline. With experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, families, and the LGBTQIA+ community, Kennedy utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered approach. 

She is passionate in supporting individuals navigating life’s challenges by fostering insight, building coping skills, and promoting self-advocacy. She is deeply committed to helping others feel seen and supported while empowering clients to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.

Striving to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, she delivers compassionate and culturally-informed care that is thoughtfully tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs. Her approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of evidenced-based practices and interventions to meet clients where they are. Utilizing CBT, DBT, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused modalities, Kennedy is committed to empowering clients through a strong therapeutic alliance and tailored interventions that promote resilience and growth.

Kennedy has experience working with a wide variety of presenting concerns including: anxiety, depression, trauma, peer/family relationships, school issues, learning differences, and identity concerns. Kennedy works collaboratively with you to explore challenges, build on strengths, and support meaningful, lasting change.
